All About Edith...

IMG_6058

I'm Edith, the proud owner of Obi's Friends. I have been taking care of dogs from a young age and they have always been my passion. After working in the NHS for 4 years and at an independent hospital for 4 years prior to that, in June 2023 I finally decided to pursue my dream of being surrounded by dogs all day, everyday.

I am currently working towards a qualification with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) in dog training and behaviour and I regularly attend various training courses to keep my knowledge up to date and fresh.

I have also been volunteering at my local dog rescue for around a year, which has helped me gain experience with dogs of all different shapes, sizes, breeds and temperaments.

All About Obi...

I'm Obi, the proud co-owner of Obi's Friends! I am a five year old tricolour Dalmatian rescued from the streets of Spain where I was sadly abused and neglected. When I arrived in the UK in August 2020, I was terrified of people and was too scared to leave my crate for the first 2 weeks.

With a lot of time, patience and most importantly TREATS(!), I finally started slowly showing my personality and became more and more confident every day. Fast forward to now and you would never guess that I have been through everything I have been through. I'm still a nervous boy at times, which is why my nickname is 'chicken boy', but my family tell me they love me just the way I am.

I can't wait to get to know all your dogs and make some new friends!
